Washington, D.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that it has opened a full-service office in Washington, D.C. Its first outside the Southeast, the firm is opening the office in partnership with Leftwich LLC, a long-standing minority/woman-led firm in the nation’s capital.
The firm is also expanding the reach of Parker Poe Consulting, establishing PPC-Leftwich in the full-service D.C. office. PPC-Leftwich will operate as a minority/woman-led professional services company with Marie C. Johns of Leftwich as CEO. Marie has been a leader in business, civic, and government service for more than 30 years. Dwanda Glenn-Woodward of Leftwich will also join Marie at the new consulting firm, where they will continue to provide management consulting, small business advisory services, organizational effectiveness guidance, and public policy consulting.
The team joining the Parker Poe law firm from Leftwich brings a wealth of experience in the areas of real estate and commercial development, sports and entertainment, telecommunications, energy, government contracting, and small business law and consulting. The team includes five attorneys: Thomas D. Bridenbaugh, Nicholas S. Penn, Sherry F. Bellamy, Scott A. Burrell, and Roderic L. Woodson.
In addition, veteran investment attorney Michael P. Kelley is joining Parker Poe’s Washington office. Michael has more than 25 years of experience assisting U.S. and international companies and funds with all of their investment needs. He joins Parker Poe from Arent Fox.
Parker Poe will continue to grow its federal lobbying and government affairs practice in the nation’s capital under the leadership of Bruce Thompson, who has helped build the firm’s D.C. presence over the past decade. The new D.C. office is located at 1400 K St. NW.
